Certified Veterinary Technician / Lead Tech
Kate is a Certified Veterinary Technician and Lead Technician at Sugar River Animal Hospital in Grantham, NH. Her educational journey is eclectic, starting with a BA in English and an MA in Literature. After several years working in corporate America for various publishing houses, she decided to change careers. Kate returned to school while working nights at a 24-hour Emergency Referral Animal Hospital in Indiana. After six years, she earned an AAS in Veterinary Science and passed her VTNE board exam in 2007 to become a Certified Vet Tech.
Kate is thrilled to be back in veterinary medicine after taking a hiatus to raise her children to elementary school age. She has special interests in dentistry, canine training, canine reproduction, and physical therapy/rehabilitation.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys exploring the foothills with her collies, participating in various AKC sports, and chauffeuring her children to soccer, baseball, and dance events around Concord. She is supported in all her endeavors by her husband, two children, two cats, her Gateside collies, and a small flock of chickens.
