Veterinary Assistant
Allison joined the Sugar River Animal Hospital team in January 2025 as a Veterinary Assistant, fulfilling her lifelong dream of working with animals. A Newport, NH native, Allison first gained experience in veterinary care while volunteering at Sugar River Animal Hospital during high school, back when it was at its original location down the road from our current location.
She recently graduated from Paul Smith’s College in upstate New York with a bachelor’s degree in environmental biology, further deepening her understanding of animal science and ecosystems. Allison is excited to apply her knowledge and passion for animal care to support pets and their families in the Grantham, NH, community.
At home, Allison has four beloved Beagles—Rosco, Ivy, Olive, and Hazel—who keep her active and entertained. When she’s not working, she enjoys being outdoors, crafting, and competing as a Lumberjill. A lifelong learner, Allison is eager to continue growing in the veterinary field and making a positive impact on the lives of animals.
